Camp of Combat Arts 2011

Welcome to the Alberta Jiu-Jitsu Association’s Tenth Anniversary Camp of Combat Arts being held from Friday July 1st to Sunday July 3, 2011 at the Southland Leisure Centre in Calgary, Alberta.

July 1st is the first ever held Provincial Ju Jitsu Black Belt testing starting at 9:30am. Viewing is available by donation, location to be announced.

July 2nd is a day of hands-on day training with some of Canada’s top martial arts instructors, trainers and champions. This one day series of seminars has something for everyone, of every skill level, from sport-based combat arts to effective self-defense.

• Japanese Jiu Jitsu Steve Hiscoe Shihan, 8th Dan Can-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu
• Modern & Japanese Ju Jitsu Kevin Lintott Renshi & Michael Dargie Sensei, 5th Dan & 3rd Dan Goshinkan-Ryu Ju Jitsu
• Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Alex Roque Sensei, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Fight Club
• Judo & Ju Jitsu Ray Martin Sensei, 4th Dan Shindo-Ryu Judo & JuJitsu
• Filipino Martial Arts and Muay Thai Guro Joel Huncar, Rocky Mountain Academy of Martial Arts
• Japanese Jiu-Jitsu Andy Dobie Sensei, 4th Dan Jitsu Canada

Tickets go on sale to the public on April 1, 2011.

• Tickets are $99 per participant for non AJJA members, and there are only 120 tickets available for this years event.
• AJJA member’s are $79 per participant for the camp, $40 for just the tournament unlimited categories, or $105 for both events.
• Non member’s $125 for both events.
  

There will be a social following the Saturday night training, location to be announced.

July 3rd is the Provincial Jiu-Jitsu Tournament for Adults and Kids. Categories are: Duo’s Competition; Self-Defense Competition featuring the V and Gauntlet; Gi grappling Tournament.
